Trip to Bratislava, Slovakia - part 2

Taking into account that it was part of a former communist country, the preservation of the old town centre, as much as it is, has to be appreciated.

Chicken with honey and fried cauliflower

Ingredients:
  • half of a chicken
  • 2 spoons of honey
  • 2 spoons of red wine
  • 2 spoons of olive oil
  • paprika
  • pepper
  • laurel
  • curry
  • salt

Mix the olive oil with the paprika, the salt, the pepper, the curry, the honey and the laurel (we had honey from last year so it was solid).

Add the mixture above over the chicken and mix until well incorporated.
Add the red wine.

Grease the tray with some olive oil and add the chicken. Cover the tray and put it in the oven at 190 Celsius degrees for 30 minutes. Uncover the tray and let it for 20 more minutes.

Prepare the cauliflower.

Ingredients:
  • 1 cauliflower
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 spoons of flour
  • pepper
  • olive oil
  • salt

Boil the cauliflower.

Mix the eggs with the flour, salt and the pepper.

Soak the boiled cauliflower in the egg composition.

Put the cauliflower in a pan and let it fry at medium fire for almost 1 minute on each side.
Put the fried cauliflower on a plate covered with paper napkins.
The same procedure can be followed for the fried zucchini.

Bon Appetit!

Trip to Bratislava, Slovakia - part 1

Really small city center, you wouldn't say that it's a capital.

Don't plan more than 2 hours.

On the positive side: could be interesting for a week-end clubbing experience, for the young and restless.

Visiting Schonbrunn, Vienna

One of the most beautiful palaces in Europe, easily rivaling Versailles.

Not very close to the city center, though, so you need to catch a ride.

Also the imperial chambers are worth the money.
