Trip to Chamonix, France

Very, very crowded during the summer.

It took us about one our to find a free parking place. Probably during winter time it´s also packed and impossible to find one.

Otherwise it´s one of the most pitoresque montain resorts we've seen.

Chocolate brownie - recipe (including photos)

  • 180 grams of butter
  • 180 grams of dark chocolate
  • 150 grams of brown sugar
  • 80 grams of semi complete flour 
  • 50 grams of white chocolate
  • 50 grams of milk chocolate
  • 40 grams of cocoa powder
  • 3 eggs
  • salt

Cut the chocolate and the butter in small cubes and put them to melt in a pot above another pot with boiling water ("bain marie").

Let it cool at room temperature!

Cut the white chocolate and the milk chocolate in small cubes and set them aside.

Beat the eggs with the brown sugar for 8-10 minutes until it doubles its volume.

Add the melted dark chocolate/butter over the beaten eggs and mix.

Mix the cocoa powder with the salt and the flour.

Add the flour/cocoa powder over the eggs/dark chocolate mixture and mix until well incorporated.

Finally add the chopped white and milk chocolate chips and mix until well incorporated.

Preheat the oven at 170 Celsius degrees.

Put the composition in a baking tray (25x20).

Cook the brownie for 20-30 minutes at 170 Celsius degrees.

Otherwise, it seemed rather popular with tourists, especially on a sunny summer day.

Nutellotti - Nutella biscuits recipe (including photos)

Ingredients for 13 biscuits:
  • 100 grams of Nutella
  • 100 grams of flour
  • 1 egg
  • a pinch of salt

Mix the Nutella with the egg and the salt.

Add the flour and mix.
Make a non sticky dough.

Make 13 little balls with an indent in the middle.

Bake them at 180 Celsius degrees for 10 minutes.

When ready let them cool!

When cooled add some Nutella (or jam) in the middle.
